Meeting with Dr Lisa Cameron MP

Dr Ian Hunt recently met with Dr Lisa Cameron MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Digital Assets and Crypto. They discussed the need for a positive regulatory regime to encourage the development of market infrastructure for digital assets in the UK, and the great potential for native digital assets, beyond the current activity around tokenisation of conventional assets. They went on to explore the benefits of a single issuance model and single operating model for digital assets.

Dr Cameron suggested that the APPG members should come to the City of London to meet with the Digital Issuance Working Group, to hear from senior practitioners who are working to implement digital assets and funds; this is expected to take place in February 2023.
