2014 Global IBOR Standard - Global Investor Spring 2023

In 2014, Investment Book of Record was a hot topic, and the Global IBOR Standards Working Group published a radical new template for IBOR platforms. The IBOR standard design articulated by the Group shared many characteristics with blockchain, including immutable history, append-only data management, and block-based (as opposed to relational) data structures. This was seen as hard to implement at the time, but has become practical now as a result of advances in technology and architecture.
